Grapeseed oil is a vegetable oil and comes from Chili. Grapeseed extract (oil) is composed of flavonoids whose main purpose is to protect the blood vessel walls by giving skin a calming and antioxidant action. All the wine countries have capitalized on wine by-products, as seeds contain a great part of lipids. Rich in linoleic acid, an important essential fatty acid for skin and cell membranes, grapeseed oil penetrates skin easily and has restructuring and regenerating virtues which give a better control on skin hydration.
The apple is the fruit of the apple tree, fruit tree of the Rosaceae family widely cultivated for many centuries and which has acclimatized in many regions of the world. From the Neolithic, the apple is one of the first fruits consumed by Man. Up to now, there are more than 20 000 listed varieties of apples. This fruit appeared in Asia (voir commentaire en français) and has been consumed by Chinese for more than 3 000 years. The word « pomme » (apple) comes from the latin pomum which designates the common word « fruit ». In latin, the apple is called malum and the word « pomme » (apple) has replaced malum as the apple remains the fruit, the pomum, par excellence. Due to its multiple vitamins, it is used in the making of ointments for its therapeutic virtues. This white- pulp fruit composed of flavonoids gives skin anti- radicular and antioxidant virtues.
Ginger (gingembre), from the latin noun Zingiber officinale, (que faire avec les termes en bleu?) is a plant specie from Asia whose rhizome is mainly used in cooking and traditional medecine. Indian texts dating back to year 1000 before our era give evidence that this vivacious tropical herbaceous plant was prescribed for aches and illnesses from asthma to hemorrhoids. Asian doctors use it even nowadays to facilitate digestion, to treat stomach aches, diarrhea and nausea. Though often used to flavor food and known as a natural aphrodisiaque plant, it has powerful antiseptic properties.
Rich in vitamin E, grapeseed oil has emollient and filmogenic properties which have a calming power while regenerating and restructuring cell membranes. The polyphenols in this oil are used for their efficiency to fight against free radicals and skin aging. Thus this oil is recommended in the formulation of hair products for fine, greasy, damaged, brittle hair as well as for regenerating care for mature, damaged and stressed skin.
The polyphenols contained in apples fight against premature aging of skin because of their powerful antioxidant action. Therefore the apple acts as anti-aging and anti- wrinkle for mature skin. Also rich in pure and natural acetic acid, it preserves the pH balance of skin at all times for a continuous nourished and hydrated feeling.
This plant is rich in starch and the magnesium in the pulp of this root plays an important role in the preservation of body tissues. Ginger is known for its strenghtening effect and it has anti- inflammatory and antioxidant properties. With regards to cosmetic products, ginger is used to tone and protect skin. Therefore it becomes an advanced ingredient against skin aging.
