This plant, also known as Sacha Inchi, is from the Amazon rainforest and is grown at altitudes from 200 to 1500 m. Since decades, its star-shaped flowers contain seeds which, once pressed, make « the richest vegetable oil in polyinsaturated fatty acids among all the oleaginous seeds used for human consumption». Full of highly concentrated essential fatty acids, this plant called Plukenetica Volubilis has many virtues : protection, hydration, restructuration, etc. It is grown in a sustainable development program and is used more and more frequently in the cosmetic industry because of its components such as insaturated fatty acids and vitamins. Even fish oil, well known for its high concentration in Omega 3, contains a lower percentage of Omegas than inca inchi oil.
This vivacious climbing plant grown in cold regions needs a three-year period to come to maturity in order to get an optimal harvest. Its bright red colour confirms the presence of a powerful antioxidant : anthocyanins. Though it has many other virtues which are not less important as this little red berry , Vaccinium macrocarpon, of the Ericaceae family is also known for its effective fight against heart diseases and urinary infections. In fact, Amerindians used it for its medicinal qualities : they used to make cataplasms with it to cure wounds. In winter, they would use it to treat scurvy as it is rich in vitamin C. Very rich in Omega 3, this little fruit is a gold mine to keep the body healthy.
Originally from Europe, calendula is a plant which grows and is easily cultivated in the Mediterranean area. Already known and used in Antiquity by Arabs, Greeks and Indians for its medicinal properties, the use of calendula has increased and diversified over centuries. From the Asteraceae family , calendula is a plant which produces nice yellow flowers and has interesting virtues, due to its seeds. Nowadays, calendula, Calendula officinalis flower, is increasingly used in cosmetics (in particular in cosmetics for babies) because of its antiseptic, anti- inflammatory and calming virtues for skin.
Naturally rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6, this organic vegetable oil is considered the most prestigious oil, as it allows humans to metabolize their own Omega 3 compared with other oils. It restructures and protects skin, hair and nails, by limiting dehydration, strenghtening and rebuilding their natural barrier. It is a genuine source of happiness for sensitive and dehydrated skin as well as damaged or dry hair, thanks to essential fatty acids which improve the epidermis texture. Because of its content in vitamin E, it acts as an active regenerating component while insaturated fatty acids nourish, anticipate and treat skin and hair problems.
The cranberry fruit, Vaccinium macrocarpon, is primarily known for its antioxidant properties which bestow great therapeutic qualities. Its antioxidant capacity has henceforth achieved unanimity with the scientific community. After blueberries, it would be the fruit with the best antioxidant activity and therefore becomes a choice ingredient for restoring, preserving and hydrating skin. The Omega 3 in this little fruit is a favourite ingredient for sensitive skin and damaged hair.
Recommended ingredient in cosmetology for delicate and irritated skin, as the presence of carotene and triterpenic saponins bestows hydrating, antiseptic and healing properties to the epidermis. Also known for its calming, hydrating and softening properties, calendula is appreciated in the treatment of skin problems : it reduces discomfort, itching and inflammation of skin and scalf. In sum , it has the effect of regenerating skin.

Their body wash has a wonderfully soft lather and is gentle enough to use on my face.
